Description: EVE'S Cu375 is a U shaped device made of medical
grade bio-compatible Polyethylene and contains barium sulfate for
radio-opacity. Its width of horizontal wings is approx 19 mm and its vertical
stem length is approx 35mm. This vertical stem of U-frame is wound with
highly pure Copper wire of 99.99 approx. 335mg winding of Cu-wire provide an
exposed surface area of around 375 mm˛ of Copper to ensure the desired Copper ion concentration, in the uterus,
continuously for upto 5 years. A non-hygroscopic
monofilament nylon thread is tied to the bulb at the tip of the stem which result into two threads of approx 22cms length, to allow
easy detection and removal of the Cu375 whenever necessary. The
Cu375 is placed inside the insertion tube. A flange loaded onto the insertion
Tube assist you in gauging the depth to which the Cu375 is to be placed in
the uterus. Label insert is also provided. These are packed in a Tyvek / PE - PET or polyethylene- polyethylene pouch and
gamma sterilized. |
